Introducing......Nancy D. with Brideface!
Location: Covington/The Bridal Studio; 714 Madison
Type of Vendor: on location professional makeup artistry
Number of Years in Business: four
How did you get started in the wedding industry? I have been a makeup artist for 13 years and always considered weddings my favorite medium. I took the plunge so I could be own boss, spend more time with my kids, and do what I love.
How did you pick your company name? I don't remember agonizing over it; I just wanted something easy to remember that would be timeless and I knew I didn't want my name in the title. I got mixed reactions to it at first but I loved it right away.
If you had to start over what one thing would you do differently? I would have started my company ten years ago if I had known then that it was possible to make a living at it.
What is your company philosophy? We want our clients to feel like a pampered celebrity and the most beautiful they have have ever been. {love that!}
What's one thing you want clients/vendors to know most about your services? For myself and the three makeup artists that work with me, this is our full time occupation, not something we just do on the side. We take what we do very seriously and invest heavily in the products we use and in continuing education. We live and breathe weddings!
Do you have any hidden talents or favorite hobbies? I studied flute performance at CCM and also have a background in musical theatre.
What are your three favorite blogs besides The Tres Chic Bride?
Style Me Pretty, Jezebel and Design Sponge
