We had such a fabulous wedding this past weekend. Megan and Justin were so much fun and everything was just beautiful!! I'm posting a few of the pictures that I took - please keep in mind that I am not (repeat NOT) a professional photog!! Megan DIYed most of the paper elements herself - the menus, event list, table numbers and escort cards were all done by her.
My favorite element were the personalized notes that she and Justin wrote to each of their guests (I think I am going to trademark that idea by the way - I did it for my own wedding!) and everyone LOVED them. They are certainly a labor of love but well worth the work. Everyone felt loved and touched by the bride and groom. Something that speaks louder than any other decorative element you could every dream of.
Event Details:
Venue - The Phoenix
The space is just beautiful - historic and grand - 2 of my favorite things. Sam was great to work with and the catering staff was wonderful. The building itself reminds me of the days of grandeur in Cincinnati. Just what you want your guests to feel.
Flowers - Nature Nook Floral Center - Fabulous to work with and great prices!
Megan had 3 different centerpieces - 2 high and 1 low. I love the effect the 2 different high ones made. Definetly added another layer of visual interest.
Band - Stretta Band
Love love love them. Bands and DJs are notoriously difficult to deal with. Not Stretta. Ray is great to work with and was so sweet the day of. They had the dance floor FULL at 1:00AM..which believe me, is amazing. Most receptions are cleared out by 11:00/11:30. Just fabulous.
Lighting - Goodwin
All TC brides know how I feel about lighting. If I could offer one piece of advice it is to get lighting. Peach walls be gone :) I love love love love love goodwin. Book them. Now.
Cake - Cake Creations by Sue 471-4400
Well...I didn't get a piece of cake (DUH!) but I heard it was amazing. And I know it looked stunning. So really what else matters?!
Photographer - Patrick Banfield
I think Megan will be extremely happy with her photos
Videography - Jeff Harper Films
We have worked with Jeff several times and he's always been wonderful. At 2:00am when we were all leaving Jeff informed me that he had broken his toe at his earlier ceremony. Now that's dedication!
Make up - The Fabulous Heidi McKenna
I don't know what to do with myself if a weekend goes by and we don't have a wedding together. She is amazing and just the sweetest woman ever.
Transportation - Gallant Coach
They were so great! The limo-bus was totally pimped out and uber-sophisticated. I'm just jealous that I didn't get to ride in it. Rick got to roll all around downtown in the AC while I was busting my butt at the Phoenix. Somehow I don't think that's right....
Event Coordinator - Tres Chic Event Planning
Oh wait...hehe :)
