Wednesday

CP of the week

Simple and elegant and makes a huge impact. Love it.

Paper-wrapped cylinder candle-holders of varying heights are arranged among clear square vases holding phalaenopsis orchids. Some of the vases were dusted with feathers; some studded with crystals; some wound with snowy angora yarn; and some woven with white satin ribbon.

POP

Sometime simple equals stunning. And sometimes you just need a little 'pop'! I thought I'd post some inspiration for little pops of color. I know a lot of TC brides are working on their final centerpiece selections so on with the inspiration! Happy Planning!

Easy = cut limes and hydrangeas {and easy on the budget!}

Simple = colored table numbers.

Elegant = wrapped cylinders with beautiful colors and simple roses

Creative = graphic images with simple flowers

Pop = colored menus and tinted water

P.S. all the looks above are achievable using the TC inventory! Gotta love that :)

M&J

I know I say this a lot but I absolutely adore this couple. Mandy was planning from out of town so I not only got to get know her but her mother as well. It's always an honor when a bride selects us to carry out her vision but it's especially poignant when they trust us from across the country.

Mandy and Jon selected my new favorite color combo - hot pink and navy. I am in love - the navy makes the pink really pop. And while it gives a preppy feeling it still
projects an appropriate sense of formality. So fabulous.

Our lovely vendors:
Ceremony: The always fab St. Cecilia
Reception: The Grand {one of our new fave sites!}
Florist: Katie Elfers {check her blog for more pics}

The bridesmaids' dresses were so freakin cute. I would totally buy it for my personal wardrobe!

Kristin from the ultra-fab Poeme created the seating chart and then I took the graphic and added it to the table numbers and additional signage.

Stay tuned for images from Steve - trust me, you want to see them :)

Help a pup out!

A re-post from our fabulous photog, Kortnee Miller {Simply Timeless Photography}. We totally need to find this pup a home. Please contact me or Kortnee if your interested.

Most of you who know me know that I am a dog lover. I come from a long line of dog lovers. Growing up my mom would take in all sorts of stray animals and they would spend their days on our five acres out in the wide open. So many of my childhood photos are with animals…riding dogs, chasing cats, feeding birds…you name it.

The other day I was driving down a four lane busy street when I saw this little brown dog running between all the cars. I actually cringed when he dogged to miss the last car before making it to the sidewalk. I of course pulled over, chased him down the sidewalk and put him in my car. As soon as I put him in the car, he sat politely in the back seat, stuck his nose out the window and sat quietly enjoying the breeze that blew his cute little ears back all the way home.

I have had him now for a few weeks, looking for a fabulous home for him. We would love to keep him but for many reasons are are not able to. So I decided to post him here on the blog! He is the sweetest little dog that wants to be loved and snuggled all day long. He is hilarious…he loves to talk to you! He also loves kids (Micah and him wrestle all the time!) and he is great with other dogs. He also LOVES to be outside and is super playful. He is not one of those dogs that has to be inside all the time to be happy. Many a day he is outside laying in the sun on a comfy grass spot and perfectly happy.

So, if you or anyone else is looking for a fabulous dog that needs a good home…please give us a call here at the studio… 513.807.3000 or you can email me at kortnee@kortnee.com. Oh, by the way, he is between 40 and 50 pounds and is house broken!

Look at this face….

Please please let us know if you know anyone searching for the perfect pup!

ML & Bub

ML & Bub are such a fabulous couple. Due to ML's...um..indecivivness Rick and I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with them. Seriously, it was a pleasure :) I love these two! The event was truly a family affair. Her uncle created all of the floral arrangements and transported them into Cincinnati the week of the wedding. Yes, I was freaking out. But they traveled better then I could have imagined and were stunning.

ML wanted a soft romantic feeling and totally achieved it. When she fell in love with tall wrought-iron chandelier centerpieces {crazy expensive!} her dad stepped in and created her custom pieces. They were ah-mazing. I tried to buy them but I don't think ML is giving them up! {I wouldn't either!!} You can check out his craftiness in the 5th photo section below. I wish I was a better photog so you could see how beautiful the tables were but we all know I'm kinda lacking in that skill area.

Vendors:
Ceremony - St. Xavier
Reception - Bell Event Centre
Photog - Steve Lyons {I'm currently stalking his blog...}
Lighting - Goodwin Lighting
Cake - Patricia's
Band - Clueless

Onto the {not-so} fab shots!
One of our favorite bands, Clueless. Kept the dance floor crowded all night.
Even with Shawn having the flu. That's dedication :)
{Props to Goodwin - look how amazing the lighting is! Huge difference}
New favorite first dance song. Er...what was the song title, ML?
Rick's current favorite cake - Patricia's. So good!
Uber-fabulous candy bar. Candy cigs - AYFKM? Fabulous.
Lots of love you two! We wish you many many years of wedded bliss. And low-stress jobs ;) hehe
